Amalia Ulman
Buenos Aires, Argentina 1989. Lives and works between Los Angeles and Gijón


She graduated at the Central Saint Martins School of Art and Design of London. Recent solo-show exhibitions include: “Labour Dance” at Arcadia Missa, (London),”International House of Cozy” at Showroom MAMA of Rotterdam, ”Stock Images of War” at James Fuentes of New York, “Excellences and Perfections” at New Museum of New York, “The Destruction of Experience” at Evelyn Yard of London, “Baby Footprints Crow’s Feet” at Ellis King of Dublin, “Moist Forever” at Future Gallery of Berlin, “Promise a Future” at Marbriers4 of Geneva and “Used & New” at LTD of Los Angeles. Recent group-show exhibitions include: “Performing For The Camera” at TATE (London), “Electronic Superhighway” at Whitechapel Gallery, “The St. Petersburg Paradox” at the Swiss Institute of New York and “Poetry will be made by all!” at the LUMA Foundation, co-curated by Hans Ulrich Obrist, Simon Castets and Kenneth Goldsmith. She is the founder and curator of MAWU-LISA project and was one of the panel members of 89plus curated by Hans Ulrich Obrist and Simon Castets for the DLD13 Conference of Munich, she also designed the stage of the 89plus Marathon at the new Serpentine Gallery’s Zaha Hadid Building.
